Gang Of 12 men Jailed For 140 Years For Grooming And Raping Girl
A gang of 12 men have been jailed for a combined total of 140 years over the grooming and rape of a girl.
They were found guilty of 16 offences started in May 2011 when the girl was 13 and continued until June 2012.
Judge Roger Thomas QC told the gang that their behaviour was among the worst he had seen in 40 years.
Yasser Kabir, 25, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, was found guilty of three charges of rape and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Kabir’s half brother, Tauqeer Hussain, known as Toki, 23, of Belgrave Road, Keighley, was found guilty of three charges of raping two victims and sentenced to 18 years.
Sufyan Ziarab, known as Sufy, 23, of Kendal Mellor Court, Keighley, was convicted of two charges of rape and jailed for 15 years.
His brother, Bilal Ziarab, also known as Billy or Browny, 21, of Sedgwick Close, Manningham, Bradford, was also found guilty on two rape charges and jailed for 12 years.
Israr Ali 19, of Devonshire Street West, Keighley, was found to have raped the girl at Burgess Fields in Keighley and was jailed for three and a half years.
The jury found a further five men guilty of one count of rape each during an incident at Dalton Lane, Keighley, where they lined up for sex with the girl.
Nasir Khan, known as Khany, 24, of Buxton Street, Keighley, was found guilty of one count of rape and jailed for 13 years.
His brother, Faisal Khan, 27, of Buxton Street, Keighley, was also found guilty of one count of rape and sentenced to 13 years.
Hussain Sardar, 19, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, was guilty of one count of rape and was jailed for eight years as a young offender.
Saqib Younis,29, of Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, was guilty of one count and jailed for 13 years.
Zain Ali, 20, of Buxton Street, Keighley, was also guilty of one count and jailed for eight years as a young offender.
Taxi driver Mohammed Akram, of Holker Street, Keighley, was found guilty of sexual activity with the girl and jailed for five years.
Khalid Mahmood, 34, of Ashfield Prison, South Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty to twice raping the teenager and three offences of sexual activity with a child. before the trial date. He attacked the girl at Cliffe Castle and ‘unknown’ locations.
Mahmood, who was twice his victim’s age and known as ‘Creepy Khalid’ by the victim, sentenced to 17 years.
