A family court judge has ruled that a teenage girl must live with her father after her parents took opposite sides while her brother was on trial for raping her.
The girl, now 15, will live with her father who gave evidence for prosecutors when her brother went on trial at Caernarfon Crown Court.
Her mother gave evidence for the defence and the brother was found guilty and given a prison sentence
Judge Gareth Jones concluded that she can live with her father but must be supervised by social services.
Nobody can legally be identified and the brother’s age was not revealed in the case at a family court hearing in Rhyl, Denbighshire.
Judge Jones said the girl was ‘loyal’ to her father.
But he said the youngster had to remain under the umbrella of social services staff.
He said social workers must remain vigilant.
