Woman Blogged Live Her Rape On Instagram ............ My Thoughts.

The news of a 27 year old feminist campaigner who claims she was raped by a man in a shower in South Africa went viral on social media. Amber Amour who is from New York uploaded a photograph of herself sitting on the bathroom floor with tears streaming down her face alongside a graphic and disturbing description of the event. 

As a woman I'm tempted to take sides with her because I know that being stigmatized a rape victim wrecks a woman emotionally and the after effect of rape is very devastating but after reading her story I felt she wanted to be raped because most things didn't  add up. Thankfully reading different comments I realised I'm not alone with my thoughts.

My thoughts.  

* She went to her old hostel to leave a note for her friend Nick

* There was a guy there, Shakir who desperately tried to get with her though she kissed him once but he seemed drunk and she felt it was "Bad Timing ". 
Note -------> He is not even a close friend neither are they in any form of relationship. In her words he's been desperately trying to get down with her. 

* She went upstairs to say hi to Clyde and Shakir ( the supposed rapist) followed her upstairs and said he was going to take a shower and invited her to take a shower with him and she agreed. Seriously who goes into a bathroom naked with a stranger?  

* To be fair to her in her words she agreed to take a shower with him because it was cold and after 2 days of being sick she wanted a hot shower. Why didn't she @ least ask him to leave the apartment for few minutes let her take a bath. Because going into a bathroom naked with a man speaks volumes.  It's not normal to undress before a man who is not your lover.

* what was she expecting going into the bathroom naked with a man? A praise and worship session? You cannot keep a goat in a yam barn and expect the goat to protect the yam for you. No sane person will give a rat dried fish to protect. 

Young woman from your story you put yourself in harms way. You gave yourself free to him.  
What I find really disturbing is that instead of  going to the authorities and the hospital ‎she blogged about It Live. 

I'm sorry you were raped but next time don't go near fire if you don't want to get burnt. 
This serves as a lesson to young ladies who feels they can do anything because of civilization.

    The Truth Is She Was Rapped. In The Western World, You Can Sue Your Husband For Rape. Yeah, He Is Your Husband But He Cannot Force You To Have Sex With Him. She Agreed To Foreplay Not Sex. She Can Actually Sue Him For Sexuall Assault And Rape. I Don't Know About South Africa, But Here They Guy Will Indeed Go In For It. Imo, She Definitely Needs To See A Psycharrist, Something Is Wrong Somewhere.

    The fact is she said no during the event even if you said yes and change your mind (which is your right) it is rape. Yes it was reckless of her to get it the shower with a stranger but two strangers went into that shower only one got raped. As for blogging it that I can't understand unless she did go to the authorities and got the same reaction. She is getting from some of your readers. If she agreed to shower with a stranger she asked for it. Rape is such a delicate matter we should be careful how we address it majority of women that kill themselves are rape victims.

    IF She Said no at anytime during that time it is by law rape period irrespective of her bad decisions prior to that moment. I am rambling

      hahahaha you are not rambling dear, trust me I hate rapist and will consciously flee from any situation that will lead to rape. I feel sorry for her I pray others learn from it
