22-yr-old man arrested for raping 5-yr-old boy in Lagos

When I read certain stories I can't help but wonder if it's true because some of these stories are disgusting to say the least. According to pulse.ng

A 22-year-old man, Ganiu Amusa, has been arrested by policemen attached to the Alakuko Divisional Headquarters of the Lagos State Command, for allegedly raping a 5-year-old boy 

The Punch Newspaper reports that the toddler informed his mother, Mrs. Adenike Ejigbo, that his anus was aching him and when the mother asked him when he started developing the pain, he narrated how 'Uncle' Amusa sodomised him through the anus.
The alarmed mother immediately reported the matter at police station where the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Supol Ajayi Abayomi, ordered investigation into the matter and Amusa was arrested.
After initially denying committing the act, Amusa later confessed and owned up to the offence and was thereafter transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department SCID, Smith Street, Yaba, for further investigation and prosecution.
The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Aliyu Giwa, confirmed the arrest, adding that the case was undergoing further investigation at the SDCI.
“The police are investigating further at the SDCI,” he said.
